R32 GT-R

Official
horsepower is 280, but according to the best information that I can dig up, it's
rated somewhere between 315-320hp in actuality. The 1989 Skyline GT-R is a 4wd,
with a rear-wheel drive bias, instead of the usual front. In fact, under hard
launches, most to all of the torque is routed to the rear wheels, and kept
there, for optimum launching.
There are several models of skylines, with the base model being the rear wheel
drive 4-door 2 litre NA model, which is not very fast in the least. A step up,
though, is the 2.5-litre NA models, the 4 and 2 doors, and above that is the
reasonably quick 2-litre turbo model, which is much lighter than the GT-R, due
to the rear wheel drive only system. That model produces about 190hp, and 27.0
kg-m (192 ft/lbs) of torque. This was a particularly popular model, due to the
cheap price and the many aftermarket modifications available, some of which made
it visually identical to the GT-R. The GT-R has wider fenders, for it's larger,
wider tires and brakes, than all other Skyline models, along with different aero
parts front and rear.
